ACAD’s Board of Directors have been instrumental in the organization’s line of work and successful in enriching its programs. To date, all Board members are volunteers and have contributed to the ever expanding vision of the Allied Cultures Against Discrimination.


Talin Keshishian is the founding Board member of the Allied Cultures Against Discrimination. Being of Lebanese-Armenian descent, she holds a deep passion for multiculturalism and human rights. Her specialties lie in program implementation, strategic planning, fundraising and budget analysis. Ms. Keshishian has obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management to further contribute to her passion of pinpointing ACAD on the diversity map and enriching its programs.


Ashkan Dorri is ACAD’s Vice-President. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and has served as a member of the Americorps: Help Program. Mr. Dorri’s educational background and ability to adapt to diverse working environments has served to be a pivotal asset in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Mr. Dorri has established positive working relationships with the LA community and several Fortune 500 companies to secure donations for nonprofits. Mr. Dorri is credited in specializing in project management, grassroots marketing, and financial budgeting and finds that by working in different cross-functional teams that our differences can be used as strengths and can help translate data into meaningful interpretations. Mr. Dorri has a longstanding passion for humanitarian efforts and continues to be a focal point that has led to ACAD’s successes.


Eliza Sahakian is the Treasurer and Financial Officer of the Allied Cultures Against Discrimination. She has been with ACAD since it first was established in 2006. Eliza holds a Bachelor’s degree from the American University of Beirut and has been instrumental in handling ACAD’s financial matters and enriching the organization’s donor base, the monetary contribution levels and has spearheaded a Board-wide fundraising initiative that has led ACAD to connect its program objectives with its financial capabilities.


Tanya Chatoyan is ACADs Board Secretary. She is a Regional Director in the real estate industry and has been involved with property management in the Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties for the past 15 years. She has been part of the Allied Cultures Against Discrimination since 2008 and has afforded the organization a strong resource base as well as enriched its programs and services through diligent efforts and follow through of performance indicators and measures of effectiveness.
